Er ikke bare å sette seg inn å kjøre! Mye rart som har vært gjort i motor rommet på Trans AMen!! Må bare prøve å få det til å se litt bedre ut i det minste!

Startet å fikse opp motorrommet
Nytt fordelerlokk og rotor.
Jeg har nye plugledninger og plugger også. Men de får vente til jeg er sikker på at jeg ikke rotet til noe ved bytte av de første komponentene! Men det er mange spørsmål rundt hva som er gjort og ikke gjort under panseret på denne bilen! Slanger er kuttet, vakumslanger er rene kaoset og så videre. Her må man bare prøve å finne info, hvordan det egentlig skal være! For det er langt fra normalt!

New distributor cap and rotor.
I have new plug wires and plugs too. But they will have to wait until I’m sure I didn’t mess anything up when replacing the first components! But there are many questions about what has been done and not done under the hood of this car! Hoses are cut, vacuum hoses are a mess and so on. Here you just have to try to find information, how it should actually be! Because it is far from normal!

In recent weeks there has been a lot about Pontjack. Car & Driver, had an ad that «Pontiac Is Back!» Is it real, or a made up fantasy? But anyway, I got to «back» my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am, last night. But ugh, it seriously needs help…. More to come!
I de siste ukene har det vært mye om Pontjack. Car & Driver, hadde en annonse om at «Pontiac Is Back!» Er det virkelig, eller en oppdiktet fantasi? Men uansett, så fikk jeg kjørt «back» min 1979 Pontiac Trans Am, i går kveld. Men huff, den trenger seriøst med hjelp…. Mer kommer!

Motoren dør når jeg setter den i drive eller 2 gir. Den klarer seg i 1 gir + revers…. Automat eller convertør som er problemet???

Changed the air filter, but must arrange the attachment for the Shaker. The radiator / fan cover must be attached in a different way. But the radiator also needs new upper mounts! Some struts in the front are missing! Smells petrol when the engine is running, so the carburettor / ignition must be checked! Also found out that a black ring around the speedometer is missing! Yes yes… sure much more yet, but I expected it!

Installing new low beam lights on 79 Trans Am. I bought a complete set of all 4 sneezes from Rockauto in the USA. The candles were so cheap, there was nothing to think about! The light on the left side had taken in water and was connected incorrectly. The light on the right was a high-beam light. Now there are 2 new lights at the far end on the weather side, with low beam and high beam! The other lanterns were in good condition!
Instalerer nye nærlys på 79 Trans Am. Jeg kjøpte et helt sett med alle 4 nysene fra Rockauto i USA. Lysene var så billige, at det ikke var noe å tenke på! Lykten på venstre side, hadde tatt inn vann, og var koblet feil. Lykten på høyreside, var en fjernlys lykt. Nå er det 2 nye lykter ytterst på vær side, med nærlys og fjernlys! De andre lyktene var i god stand!

Dagen var kommet, for å prøve å kjøre Pontiac Trans Am, hjem fra auksjonsplassen. Ting tydet på at det kunne være fult mulig! Den er registrert, skilter ble hengt på… Den starter greit! Men det er spørsmålstegn rundt konvertøren på automaten! Ja da er man optimist, og satser på at ting ordner seg! MEN det gikk ikke som håpet!

Previously I have only seen picturs and some info.
But now it’s time to figure out how to transport it safely. The dream was to drive it, since it is EU / MOT approved.
But will it start?
